Do You Have Neck or Arm Pain? We Can Help!

Constant neck and arm pain can debilitate your life just as much as any other chronic pain in the body. This type of pain can include uncomfortable numbness, tingling and weakness as well. Typically, arm pain is a symptom of something wrong within the structure of the cervical spine and neck area. Some common causes of neck or arm pain are:

Degenerative Disc Disease – Degenerative Disc Disease describes the symptoms of pain and possibly radiating weakness or numbness stemming from a degenerated disc in the spine.

Radiculitis – Radicular pain, or radiculitis, is pain "radiated" along the dermatome (sensory distribution) of a nerve due to inflammation or other irritation of the nerve root (radiculopathy) at its connection to the spinal column.

Facet Arthritis – Facet Joint Osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis) can cause breakdown of cartilage between the facet joints. When the joints move, the lack of the cartilage causes pain as well as loss of motion and stiffness. The facet joints are located in the back portion (posterior) of the spine.

Spinal Stenosis – Spinal stenosis is the narrowing of spaces in the spine (backbone) which causes pressure on the spinal cord and nerves. About 75% of cases of spinal stenosis occur in the low back (lumbar spine).
